Claudia's chosen one favorite, and three runners up!
Check em out below!

Favorite:

TruJones

Frigid Ascension. The Ethers Returns by TruJones

I chose this painting because it spoke to me due to its romantic and transcendent qualities. I like the depth and the composition of it. The textures makes this painting even more tangible. Your eye doesn't leave the canvas but fixes on the center happening where the atmosphere adds magic and the defiance of gravity in this otherwise unfriendly environment of this dreamscape.

Runner up #1:

agataczerw

I chose this painting as my favourite pick because it illustrates the progress of transferring ideas on the canvas and break all frames and boundaries. As an artist, you know that a single canvas is sometimes not enough for a single image idea. It flows and creates more transitions to the next painting. This painting describes mostly how artists perceive their ideas and what they imagine. The colours are wonderfully chosen to create a warm and dreamlike atmosphere. If you look closely, you will find one or two amazing details which you wouldn't have expected to be there at first.

Runner up #2:

HatterMatter

  Angels and Death by HatterMatter

Angels and Death is a very well elaborated painting with a very interesting background composition. Sometimes, dreams can bring you to the most familiar places yet often come with surreal aspects to fill them up with. The juxtaposition between the two sides is what caught me here. The colours and lighting composition is beautiful. To me, the painting tells a story between captivity and freedom.

Runner up #3:

Avian-king

  Electric Dream Gazer by Avian-king

Electric Dream Gazer is probably one of the most fun and interesting pieces I found in the Hero Challenge. It almost has historical qualities that refer to a time when artists tried to capture the vividness and flow of the images in their minds. The intricate lineart and simple yet wonderfully composed colour arrangement make this painting as worthwhile as lasting. In short: This is trippy!
